Mobile Truck Inspection FAQ

Federal DOT inspections are required annually.  Additional inspections are sometimes required by insurance companies.
YES, we are required to maintain each individual inspection report for a period of 18 months.  Replacement copies are available upon request.
Yes, all our mobile staff is qualified to answer those types of questions. All our mobile staff receives training on a regular basis on all Federal truck and trailer inspections.
No, we are open 6 days per week from 6am – 9pm. The only day we are closed is Sunday. If you have an emergency and need an inspection on a Sunday you will need to call the office for that special request.  
Our mobile team leaves a list of needed repairs for all failures plus any other possible defects on the remainder of your fleet.  When a truck/trailer fails you are required to repair and document the repairs which need to be maintained in your files.
The new equipment will find weak air chambers, glazed brake linings, worn s cams, front axle and parking brake issues, pulling of left or right brakes, along with any and all brake defects.  Aside from following the instructions of the inspector, there is very little your drivers need to do other than ensuring that full air pressure is available and full brake application is made.
